The USS New Jersey Battleship Historical Museum enlisted Infinite Technologies RCS, Inc. (ITI-RCS) to produce a replica drone antenna radar dome (radome). The original radome, which had been missing since the ship’s decommissioning in the late 1990s, required a complete recreation. To achieve this, the museum’s refurbishment team developed a CAD drawing using photographs and measurements of the dome platform and antenna. ITI-RCS collaborated with the team to confirm specifications, refine the design, and ultimately manufacture and ship the radome to the museum at no cost.
ITI-RCS’s production chief emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting historical preservation, stating, “We are an American-based company and want to support the historical movement of the restoration project that includes earlier versions of a product we are creating today.” The museum expressed gratitude for ITI-RCS’s generosity and praised the quality of the radome, noting that its structure, packaging, and accompanying installation supplies were all exemplary. Today, an ITI-RCS radome proudly resides aboard the Navy’s most decorated warship, a testament to the enduring legacy of both the ship and the company’s craftsmanship.
